2024 Flower Sale Information Sheet

The Troop would like to provide you with a resource to help earn your way through the Scouting program. By participating in the flower sale you can earn money to help pay your dues and raise additional funds for your scout account. This is a great opportunity to help yourself and your Troop so let’s get out there and sell a ton of flowers!

FAST FACTS: Orders on or before March 26th. Pickup Saturday April 20th.

Here’s what’s in it for you:

  • For every $1 you sell the troop will put 25 cents in your scout account. The more you sell the more you earn in your account.
  • Scout account funds can be used for dues, gear, fees, summer camp, high adventure trips and uniforms
  • We will use the same supplier as the last few years. Robben Florist and Greenhouse is well known and located in Cincinnati. Because they are local they can provide better service to us and our customers
  • If a scout sells flowers they must volunteer on Saturday April 20th for 2 hours. If a scout cannot volunteer for 2 hours then they must deliver their flowers to their buyers.
  • Scouts are responsible for contacting buyers if they do not come to pick up their order
  • On site customer pick up will be one day only- Saturday, April 20th from 1:00-3:00pm

Selling instructions:

  • Order forms will be available on the troop281.org website along with a color flower guide that you can print out to show customers who may not be familiar with the plants.
  • You can also share the troop website or post the order sheet and flower guide on social media to initiate sales.
  • Print an order form for each order – ORDER FORM HERE!
  • Have the customer complete the order form with their information. Make sure your name is also on the form
  • Collect payment – There will not be an online option to order or pay for sales this year! Customers will have to pay by check (made payable to Troop 281), cash or make other arrangements to pay the seller electronically (venmo, Zelle, PayPal etc) If a customers pays you electronically you are responsible for writing a check to the troop or paying the amount in cash.
  • Complete a receipt for each customer. That ensures they have your information and it is a reminder of when and where to pick up their flowers
  • If you are delivering the order write a large “D” in the upper right hand corner. The troop recommends you offer to deliver larger orders but that is your decision
  • Once you have finished selling you (the scout) are to fill out the yellow final order form. This will be the tally of all of your individual sales. We will be using this form to submit the final order. Please double check that your have included all orders correctly on this form.
  • The yellow order form must also include full payment for all orders included.

Deadline to turn in orders is on or before March 26th. If you are on spring break the week of the 26th please make plans to turn your order form and payments in earlier.

*** Scouts should make plans to help at the church on Saturday April 20th. Volunteer sign ups will be conducted as we get closer to the flower delivery date.
