Welcome to our Payment Portal.   We are offering this service to Troop members who prefer the convenience of a credit card as well as making payments from home at your convenience.  

Because we use every penny of our Dues, Camping Fees, etc… all Credit Card transactions include an extra 2.2% + $0.30 per transaction – or roughly $2.56 per $100 payment.   We would love to not charge this, but this is what we are charged by the credit card processing companies. 

To pay Dues and Camp Fees:

1. Enter the SHOP and select your payment 
2. When ready, VIEW CART
3. Proceed to Checkout via PayPal
4. The system will ask if you want to make an account
   (PLEASE MAKE AN ACCOUNT TO TRACK YOUR PAYMENTS!

When you are done, you can always go back and review MY ACCOUNT, assuming you selected to make an account.

The Troop 281 Payments Portal was developed in WordPress, which powers roughly 40% of all websites globally.  Inside WordPress, we use HostGator’s industry standard SSL certificates (“HTTPS://”) as well as the WordPress HTTPS (SSL) plug-in to insure the entire website is secure.   For the web interface, we use WooCommerce (with over 74 million downloads it’s the most popular eCommerce platform for building an online store) and PayPal to process your credit cards.  PayPal is a veteran web-payment system, founded by the likes of Elon Musk and Peter Thiel, with over $13B in annual revenues and 18K employees.    We live the goal: A Scout is Trustworthy.
