Orienteering
The Dan Beard Council has two permanent orienteering courses – one at Camp Friedlander and the other at Camp Michaels. Both meet the First Class orienteering course requirements. Each course has a map / Scout guide, and a separate leader instruction sheet with a key.
Both Camp Friedlander and Camp Michaels are private property. If you wish to use the Orienteering courses, a camp usage permit is required. Please contact the Troop 281 Outdoor Coordinator to get this set up!
