                2017 Summer Camp Merit Badge and Activity Signup

Again this year Troop 281 is using an MS Excel spreadsheet to sign up for summer camp merit badges and activities.  To be eligible to submit your spreadsheet you MUST have paid your $140 deposit to Mr. Goodfellow by February 21. 

First, download the spreadsheet by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.  Open it in MS Excel and read the Instructions found in the first tab.  In the second tab, enter the Scout’s name in the first yellow cell at the top.  To enter the merit badge and activity schedule choices, click in the larger yellow boxes and the choices for that period will drop down.  Remember that besides Hunter Education, Snorkeling and Scuba, all other badges or activities will have the same schedule every day for Monday through Friday.  Please use the third tab to make a second choice schedule in case your first choices are not available.  The last two tabs show prerequisites to be completed before summer camp and a map of Camp Friedlander.  When done, please SAVE the spreadsheet to your computer with the SCOUT’S NAME in the file name and then email it to Mr. Reichard at advancement@troop281.org.   The deadline for submitting is Sunday, February 26 for all Scouts attending camp.

There is no guarantee that every Scout can get his requested schedule.  But submitting it on time gives the Scout the best chance to get what he wants.  Submitting it late makes the desired schedule difficult to impossible to obtain due to competition for the limited number of vacancies in these sessions.
